A big part of the year it is dark and cold in Sweden. Such conditions fosters two kinds of people - explorers and travelers or thinkers and innovators. Either you go away to explore something new or you stay inside to meditate on something…

Explorers and Travelers
The Swedish Vikings started the trend. They traveled into the great east to trade. That tradition has many Swedish followers. Names like Sven Hedin, who more than hundred years ago set out on several expeditions deep into Asia, up to in modern days Göran Kropp who cycled from Stockholm to Mount Everest, climbed the “hill” and cycled back again.

Innovators and Thinkers
Behind many big historical innovations you will find Swedish innovators like Alfred Nobel and Gustav Dahlén. It’s the same today when brilliant minds like Håkan Lans (invented the computer mouse, a unique navigation system etc) continues this tradition of creating astonishing inventions from the far north.
